13 Tropical Plumeria Flower Brushes
Famous for their beautiful and fragrant flowers used to make leis and garlands, plumeria or frangipani is one of the most iconic symbols of Summer. Plumeria flower is also known as pua melia in Hawaii, dead man’s fingers in Australia, and temple tree in Asia since its flowers are often gathered and used to decorate temples. Although plumeria is usually associated with Hawaii, this flower is actually native to tropical and subtropical America.
In Hawaii, plumerias can be worn around your neck as a lei, or as an adornment for your hair, or behind your ear. Wearing a plumeria behind the ear can indicate relationship status: over the left ear to indicate a “taken” status and over the right ear to indicate that you’re still “available”.
